Moths in the pantry almost always arrive with a bag of rice, flour or nuts from the shop. This trap lures the males with a pheromone, so the females stay unfertilised and the cycle stops.

How to use it

Fold the trap open, peel off the backing paper and hang or stand it in the pantry. One trap per cupboard. Replace it after three months even if it is not full, because by then the pheromone is spent.

Are food moths dangerous?

No. They do not sting, they do not bite and they carry no disease, and affected food is not toxic either. It is mainly unpleasant and wasteful: larvae, webbing and clumps in your flour or muesli.

How do I get rid of them for good?

Find the infested pack and throw it out, even if it was sealed. Vacuum the shelves and the joints, because that is where the larvae pupate. Store new supplies in glass or well sealed containers.
