A pantry moth trap shows whether pantry moths are flying about in your kitchen, where they are and how many there are. The Super Ninja Food Moth Trap is a pheromone trap for the food cupboard: the pheromone attracts the adult males of the Indian meal moth and the Mediterranean flour moth, and the sticky layer holds them. You stick it in the cupboard where you keep flour, rice, pasta and nuts, and replace it after 3 months. Available in packs of 4 or 10 traps.

Which pantry moth trap should you choose?
Choose the pack of 4 if you see moths in one kitchen or food cupboard, and the pack of 10 if you want to keep an eye on more cupboards or replace the traps every 3 months without ordering again. The pack of 4 contains 2 pouches of 2 traps each, so you only open what you need.
What does a pantry moth trap catch?
The pantry moth trap catches the adult males of the Indian meal moth (Plodia interpunctella) and the Mediterranean flour moth (Ephestia kuehniella), the two moths you most often find in the food cupboard. It does not catch females, eggs or larvae, and it does not catch clothes moths either: for those there are the clothes moth traps.
How does a pheromone trap work?
A pheromone trap releases the scent that female moths use to attract males of their own species. Males that come to it stick to the sticky layer. That is why each trap only works on the species it is made for, and why the catch shows you whether, where and how many moths there are. A trap does not solve an infestation on its own: throw away infested food, clean the cupboard and keep your food in sealed containers.
Where should you put a pantry moth trap?
Stick the trap with the double sided tape inside the cupboard or on the shelf where you keep dry food, as close as possible to where you see the moths. Use it indoors only.
How many pantry moth traps do you need?
Start with one trap per food cupboard. If you have more cupboards with dry food, or you also see moths near the pet food, put a second trap there. If one trap catches clearly more than the other, the source is probably close by.
How long does a pantry moth trap last?
The pheromone stays active for 3 months. Replace the trap after that, or sooner if the sticky layer is full. Unopened, the trap keeps for 3 years.
