Do cockroach traps work?
A sticky cockroach trap catches the cockroaches that walk into it and shows you where they are and how many there are. That makes it the tool to find out how big the problem is and whether it is getting smaller. It will not clear a nest inside walls or service shafts: for that you need a professional pest controller.
How many cockroach traps do you need?
One trap for every spot where you see cockroaches. The label gives no fixed number per square metre, so put one in every room where they cause trouble. A pack of 4 covers one room or a few spots in the kitchen. Choose 12, 24 or 60 traps if you have several rooms, or if you want to replace the traps after 3 months.
Which rooms do you use a cockroach trap in?

When should you call a pest controller?
When the catch does not go down after a few weeks, or when neighbours in your block of flats see the same cockroaches. By then cockroaches are nesting in walls, service shafts and shared areas, and that is a job for a professional pest controller.
