How to use them

Peel off the protective film and push the trap upright into the potting soil, close to the stem. Allow one or two traps per pot. Once a trap is full, replace it.

Why do new gnats keep appearing?

The traps catch the adults, but the larvae are in the potting soil. Let the top layer of soil dry out properly between waterings, because the larvae cannot survive that. If you want to tackle the larvae directly, nematodes are the fastest route.
